    The aim of this regulation is to ensure that consideration is given to radiation protection throughout the supply chain, from design, through to manufacture, during supply and at the point of installation. An RPS and Radiation Protection Adviser (RPA) are likely to be involved with the supplier /  installer during the critical examination, which is also required by this regulation. Updated February 2025 with regards to critical examination of portable / mobile x-ray equipment (particularly in the medical sector).
