Part B - UK Definition of radioactive substances and radioactive wastes

Following our simple definitions in Part A of this guidance, we now delve deeper and provide full definitions with examples. For example, surplus radioactive substances potentially emitted to the environment with a half-life of < 100 seconds are not 'radioactive waste'.
