Ionising Radiations Regulations 2017 (IRR17) Regulation 8 – Radiation Risk Assessment Guidance in Relation to the Civil Transport of Radioactive Material by Road, Rail and Inland Waterway

A recently reviewed (November 2022) guide from the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) in respect of civil transport of radioactive materials by Road, Rail and Inland Waterway – with specific reference to the Ionising Radiations Regulations 2017 (IRR17), regulation 8 (risk assessment).

With respect to transport, the risk assessment should cover requirements for preparation of a package, in-transit storage, loading, and unloading until receipt at destination, as well as carriage. [Note this is a word document download].
