This guide by CLEAPSS is designed to support practical work involving radioactive substances in UK secondary-level schools. The guide explains how to handle, use and store them safely and securely. The guide will ensure that teaching and use of the sources of radiation are done so in compliance with UK legislation, and meet the principle of ALARP (as low as reasonably practicable).
