This is an online version of Ionactive's signature 2-day RPS training course. It is suitable for any user of ionising radiation who needs to be appointed as a Radiation Protection Supervisor. It covers sealed and unsealed radioactive sources, x-ray generators and the latest safety standards and practices. Completing this course will ensure your employer meets the requirements of the Ionising Radiations Regulations 2017 (IRR17) with respect to provision of the RPS role. This course can be taken over 2-days, or over any number days / weeks - course progress is totally flexible based on delegate preferences. Radiation Protection Supervisor (RPS) refresher course

This online Radiation Protection Supervisor (RPS) refresher is designed for those who have completed the full Ionactive RPS training course. Potential delegates who have not completed RPS training with Ionactive, may still be able to take this refresher by uploading their current RPS certificate (issued by an alternative provider). The course uses multimedia including audio, video, text, slide shows, quizzes, interactive widgets and puzzles. Whilst technical matters are summarised (for all sources of ionising radiation), the refresher places more emphasis on the practical role of the RPS. The training material is regularly updated to include the latest on HSE regulators and inspections, registrations & consents, radon gas in the workplace, monitors and dosimetry, and radiation protection news from the UK and beyond. Successfully completing the course test provides the delegate with an achievement certificate valid for three years.
